For the past few years, we have experienced tremendous growth in the weekend worship service attendance. Our facilities in Highland Village do not have the capacity to handle the multitude of people who desire to hear the gospel preached. Consequently, we turn away scores of people each week — especially during Sunday morning services.
In the spring of 2007, we entered into a six-week season of corporate fasting and prayer. We sought the Lord on how He wanted us to reach the community around us. We believe that as a direct result of our prayers, He provided to us the Denton campus and a vacant old Albertsons building located in Flower Mound. The former grocery store is located approximately one mile from our Highland Village campus. In December 2007, we closed on the Albertsons transaction.
Currently, we are in the conceptual design phase and preliminary meetings with the Town of Flower Mound. Our goal is to maintain the look and feel of our other campuses, which include an intimate worship environment, a welcoming attitude and to continue to extend our hands to our neighbors. This building is simply a tool — one that God has provided to us to reach the surrounding communities for His glory.
